Velassaru – Maldives – Update 1

Not really much to report.  Nothing ever changes here, daytime temperature is 31°C and at night it’s 26°C.  We spend our days lying on our sun beds either reading, listening to music, sleeping or some combination of these.  We make the short walk to the Vela Restaurant for breakfast and a similar one to the Chill Bar at the tip of the island for a tapas lunch.  After the sun sets we venture to the Fen Bar for cocktails and then to one of the 5 different restaurants for dinner.  Enjoyed eating freshly made sushi and Wagyu beef at the Teppanyaki Restaurant.  It’s perched on stilts in the lagoon and the reef sharks seemed to enjoy any scraps on offer!  Last night it was the Sand Restaurant and as the name implies we had a table at the water’s edge on the beach.  Dinner under the stars, literally!

Enough chat, I’ll finish with some images of the last two days.
